Lynne Farris brings a lifetime of experience in a variety of creative media to the world of memory crafts, fabric arts, and do-it-yourself home decor.

Trained as a visual artist, she earned a MFA degree in painting before beginning her career as a college art instructor. She then worked for several years as a designer for manufacturers in the toy and juvenile products industries. In 1982 she founded Farris Enterprises, Inc., a creative services company.

Lynne's designs are often featured in leading consumer magazines including "Family Circle", "Michael's Create!", "Arts and Crafts", "Craftworks" and "Scrapbooking and Beyond." She has designed patterns for "McCall's Creates" and Simplicity Pattern Company. An avid fabric artist, she has authored several books on fiber arts including Sewing Fun Stuff! Soft Sculpture Shortcuts , Sterling publishing, Baby Crafts, Rockport , Quick and Clever Fleece, Creative Publishing, and her most recent books, Fast Fun and Easy Needle Felting and Fresh Felt Flowers, published by C&T Publishing.

Lynne is a frequent guest on several nationally televised programs including "The Carol Duvall Show" on HGTV, "Lynette Jennings Design" on the Discovery Channel and "Paint, Paint, Paint!" on PBS.

She has been honored as one of the craft industry's "Designer of the Year."
